Campground Hosts
Campground Hosts—volunteers who spend part or all of the year in a Forest Service campground—are an integral part of the agency’s work with the public. Hosts don’t just support campground operations, but also serve as a valuable point of contact for campers and other visitors, acting as a representative of the Forest Service. Hosts enhance the overall visitor experience—and the training and manual below will enhance your experience as a host!
Campground Host Training
This course consists of nine modules, each one focused on a specific aspect of the volunteer campground host program. After reading through the learning content in each module, you will take a short, quiz. If you are unsure of the answer for any of the questions, you can go back and review that section of the material. Once you have successfully completed the quiz, you will be able to advance to the next module.
While the course is designed to be completed in order, it does not need to be completed all at once; you can save your progress and return at any time. Once you have successful completed all nine modules, you will receive a downloadable certificate of completion.
At the end of each module, you will have to complete a quiz.
