Program Partners

Individual citizen stewards are incredibly important to the USDA Forest Service mission—and so are the various groups, organizations, businesses, schools, communities, Tribes, States, Federal agencies, and others who come together to give their time and talent to volunteer on our public lands through formal partnership agreements.
Federal policy defines partnerships as “arrangements that are voluntary, mutually beneficial, and entered into for the purpose of mutually greed upon objectives.” That both the Forest Service and our partners benefit from our time together is a crucial component of this work.
This section of the website shines a light on some of these partners, while also providing resources that can support and expand the important work that they accomplish in conjunction with the Forest Service.

Here are just a handful of the incredible organizations and groups that partner with the Forest Service.

We are so grateful for all of our partners!

Together, we make a difference, caring for the land and serving people.

“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they have the heart.”
